Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The calculator asks for gender, date of birth, health status in clear language, tobacco history, the coverage sum you want, and the policy duration. Six facts are sufficient for carriers to return rates. Your full name, street address, telephone number and medical information are only gathered if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They reflect what each carrier would quote for the health category you picked. The underwriter's decision determines your actual premium, which may keep your category the same, improve it, or change it. This site's information is educational only and doesn't guarantee coverage, prices or approval decisions.

What happens when I click Apply?

Enter your name, and we create an application from your chosen quote, then you transition to the carriers' protected application portal. The process can be paused and continued, and you sign documents on screen. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance firm (License 0B75129), handles the applications.

Will I need a medical exam?

This depends on the carrier, coverage level and your specific circumstances. Carriers offering immediate decisions can approve eligible candidates; each quote indicates whether an exam is needed, might be needed, or won't be needed.

Is a longer term better?

Coverage should span years when someone depends financially on your income: paying off a mortgage, raising kids at home, servicing business obligations. Higher terms mean larger monthly cost but stable rates across more years. The comparison tool lets you assess 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options for every carrier.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The calculator doesn't request personal identification details, we never sell or trade visitor information, and our measurement uses no cookies. Review the privacy page to see exactly what is tracked and by whom.
