No-exam life insurance
Who can qualify, how the process works, and what happens if you don't qualify.
Most carriers now provide expedited underwriting: within set age and amount ranges, carriers reach decisions using application information, prescription databases, driving records and similar documentation rather than a clinical exam. Decisions can come within twenty-four hours. Every quote on this site notes whether an exam is required, possibly needed, or not required for that product.
What it changes
Quick underwriting is not the same as minimal underwriting. Carriers verify your information; policies written with false information can be challenged during the initial two years. If data raises red flags, they may still order tests or require an exam; you can choose at that time whether to proceed.
Who tends to qualify
Generally people under approximately 60 requesting amounts below the carrier's fast-track maximum, without significant health issues and tobacco-free for the past twelve months or longer. Some carriers take previously obtained medical exam results instead of requiring a new one.
Should an exam be required, a paramedical specialist typically visits your home or workplace in the Davis region for a 20- to 30-minute session, provided at no expense. Healthy applicants frequently see exam outcomes help their rate classification, making exams advantageous rather than problematic.
